Scientists at the University of Arizona have won a $2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop a cure based on the humblest of household ingredients: baking soda. So far, baking soda has been proven in mice to reduce the size of tumors by counteracting the lactic acid the growths produce when they expand. It's only mice, but still, it's also just baking soda.
By drinking a baking soda solution, "patients can actually change their body's pH to make their cancer drugs more effective," said Mark Pagel, an associate professor of biomedical engineering and the lead researcher on the project. The only downside is that drinking too much baking soda can be toxic to other organs in the body, such as the bladder and the kidneys. http://breastcancerconqueror.com/baking-soda-a-natural-treatment-for-breast-cancer/
Baking Soda holds promise as a Natural Treatment for Breast Cancer.
Research conducted at the University of Arizona, department of Pharmacology supports the theory that Baking Soda holds promise as a Natural Treatment for Breast Cancer. Their research demonstrated that oral intake of baking soda (NaHCO3) selectively increased the pH of tumors and significantly reduced spread of metastatic breast cancer in mice. They concluded, “…the dramatic effect of bicarbonate therapy on the formation of breast cancer metastases in this model system warrants further investigation.”
Cancer cells are very acidic in nature because of the their increased metabolism of glucose (sugar) and poor oxygen metabolism. They grow best in a very acidic environment, which is why it is so important to keep your body fluids alkaline.
How does one alkalize the body? By increasing the alkaline foods in the diet. Raw green vegetables like kale and spinach are examples of alkaline foods.
Tom Hudson
A personal friend of mine; 63 year old male, was diagnosed with breast cancer and was told he must have surgery and chemotherapy in order to survive. He researched through the internet and found that high pH was one of the major killers of cancer. He proceeded to alkalize his system with all natural methods including baking soda achieving a tissue pH of 8.3. Following surgery to remove the breast lump his surgeon told him that the tumor was encapsulated as though the cancer had walled itself off in order to protect itself and was dying.

Preliminary research suggests that these natural substances may also aid in the prevention of breast cancer:
1) Curcumin
An animal-based study published in 2009 shows that curcumin (a compound found in the curry spice turmeric and available in supplement form) may help reduce breast cancer risk for women undergoing hormone replacement therapy during menopause. The study's authors suggest that women receiving a combined estrogen and progestin hormone replacement therapy could potentially take curcumin to protect against the development of progestin-accelerated tumors. However, it's important to talk to your doctor about using any natural remedies in combination with hormone replacement therapy.
2) Resveratrol
In a test-tube study published in 2008, researchers found that resveratrol (an antioxidant found in the skin of grapes) helped suppress breast-cancer progression in its earliest stages. Available in supplement form, resveratrol appeared to stop estrogen from reacting with DNA molecules and forming compounds that mark the start of cancer cell formation.
3) Green Tea
While clinical trials on green tea's cancer-fighting effects have yielded mixed results, lab tests suggest that a combination of green tea and ganoderma (a medicinal mushroom, also known as reishi) may help slow the growth of breast cancer cells.
