Could the cure for cancer be as simple as sipping baking soda and molasses?
It took a lot for me to change my views on the curability of cancer, but after looking into this for along time, I realized that many of the alternative treatments worked by alkalizing the body, which facilitates oxygenation.

Baking soda shows promise for healing breast cancer

NaturalHealth365) It is an established scientific fact that one of the key factors in the development of cancer is an acidic environment or terrain. The pH of extracellular fluids surrounding a tumor can be very acidic while the pH of healthy tissue is alkaline. In simple terms, an acidic environment creates a perfect medium for cancer cells to grow.

Cancer cells die in a healthy (cellular) environment
Acidic plasma fluids are created when you ingest foods that are highly acidic such as sugar, refined food, junk food and meats. Unresolved mental and physical stress can also add to an acidic environment by forming specific stress hormones. If you want to prevent cancer – “alkalinity” is the key.
The ideal environment is created and maintained by several factors:
1. A diet of at least 80% raw fruits and vegetables, especially greens like kale and spinach.
2. Consuming approximately 64 ounces of clean purified water every day.
3. Mental and emotional peace and relaxation.
In order to monitor your alkalinity, strips that measure the pH of the saliva and urine can easily be purchased on line or at a natural market. It is best to measure your pH first thing in the morning, upon awakening, before brushing your teeth or drinking any fluids. A healthy saliva reading should be 7.0 and above while the urine should be between 6.4 – 6.8.

HI Mary,
I think you are thinking about baking powder, which has aluminum in it. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. People with hypertension may be want to be aware of the high sodium content and monitor their blood pressure if they drink the solution.

It is dismaying how ostensibly Dr. Moss and others treat Dr. Simoncini and his theories. One of the obstacles for many people is Dr. Simoncini’s declaration that cancer is a fungus. There is little dispute that cancer is an ACID condition or can be measured in terms of tumor pH. Previous research has found that cancers are significantly more acidic than normal tissues and that manipulation of pH with intravenous bicarbonate enhances some chemotherapy Acidic tissues are low in oxygen. When alkalinity increases the supply of oxygen to the cancerous tissue, the oxygen combines with the excessive hydrogen ions, creating water and neutralizing the acid.

We can certify bicarbonate’s usefulness for cancer patients from a number of different angles without pinning all our hopes on the fungus thesis. When doctors like Moss tear down the “cancer is a fungus” theory they conveniently forget to inform their readers that even mainstream oncologists recognize the routine involvement of late stage infections in cancer and that experts concede that as high as forty percent of cancers are caused by pathogens.10 The most recent research in this area demonstrates how even viruses can be responsible for up to fifty percent of certain types of cancers.11

Special Note: I have been recommending Bob’s Red Mill sodium bicarbonate for it is fine and advertises that it is aluminum free. But I have confirmed that Arm and Hammers is also aluminum free and it is amazing how inexpensive it is and Codex has no plans that I know of to remove it from supermarket shelves. Can you imagine having to get a doctors prescription for baking soda?

Special Recommendation: We recommend sodium bicarbonate use for anyone undergoing cardiac angiography, CT (computed tomography) or MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to protect their kidneys. Medical imaging has soared over the last few years across all types of these tests. Doctors have long known exposure to contrast agents can cause damage in seemingly healthy kidneys. The Clinical Journal of the American Society Nephrology warns that kidney damage injury can arise after undergoing certain common medical imaging procedures is a serious health threat.
A meta-analysis of 17 randomised controlled trials has shown that
pre-procedural treatment with sodium bicarbonate based hydration
is the best strategy to prevent contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN).
12
Many medical imaging techniques, including cardiac angiography and CT scans, often involve the use of contrast agents, substances that contain iopamidol, iodixanol and barium with their own toxic downside. Dr. Solomon found that 31 percent of the research subjects experienced negative health effects after their imaging test. Overall 13 percent of the patients experienced a major event, such as death, stroke, heart attack, or end-stage renal disease. Those who developed contrast-induced kidney injuries had twice as many long-term negative health effects compared with patients who didn't suffer kidney damage. No doubt much of this harm can be avoided if sodium bicarbonate is used appropriately.
Though we have known that oral intake of sodium bicarbonate will have the ‘Simoncini” effect on oral, esophagus and stomach cancer we have not focused at all on the systemic effect of bicarbonate taken orally. Every cancer patient and every health care practitioner should know that oral intake of sodium bicarbonate offers an instant and strong shift of blood pH into the alkaline. So strong is the effect that athletes can notice the difference in their breathing as more oxygen is carried throughout the system and as more acids are neutralized.[i] The difference can be stunning for those whose respiration is labored under intense exercise loading.[ii] This tells us to take very seriously the oral use of bicarbonate for cancer treatment no matter what other treatment is used.
When one reads my thesis on different medicinal substances one has to always remember that I am a protocol man who does not support single shot cures for anything. With the publication of today’s chapter on sodium bicarbonate and maple syrup sodium bicarbonate slips securely into the number three spot right behind magnesium chloride and iodine. Each of these three substances effects directly onto basic human physiology in a way most pharmaceutical drugs do not. When used together we have a super threesome that will inexpensively go far to resolving many of the physical and even some of the emotional problems we and our children face. And if you have not made the connection please note that all three of these substances are used in emergency rooms and intensive care wards and they do commonly save lives every day with their inherent healing powers. See my chapter on emergency room medicine and cancer treatment.

All cancer sufferers and in fact every chronic disease patient should hold clearly in mind that pH is the regulatory authority that controls most cellular processes. The pH balance of the human bloodstream is recognized by medical physiology texts as one of the most important biochemical balances in all of human body chemistry. pH is the acronym for "Potential Hydrogen". In definition, it is the degree of concentration of hydrogen ions in a substance or solution. It is measured on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 14. Higher numbers mean a substance is more alkaline in nature and there is a greater potential for absorbing more hydrogen ions. Lower numbers indicate more acidity with less potential for absorbing hydrogen ions.

Our body pH is very important because pH controls the speed of our body's biochemical reactions. It does this by controlling the speed of enzyme activity as well as the speed that electricity moves through our body; the higher (more alkaline) the pH of a substance or solution, the more electrical resistance that substance or solution holds. Therefore, electricity travels slower with higher pH. If we say something has an acid pH, we are saying it is hot and fast. Alkaline pH on the other hand, bio-chemically speaking, is slow and cool.
Bicarbonate can be taken frequently throughout the day with half teaspoons amounts though for long term use lower doses are safer. For cancer patients initial use should be heavy and frequent to force a greater shift because smaller pH shifts can actually stimulate cancer growth******

liquid diet for dog with cancer

Almost any food can be offered, with the exception of a few foods that are toxic to dogs, such as chocolate, onions and macadamia nuts. Here are suggestions that have worked for some dogs:
  • Baby food, especially meats. You can use water, low-sodium broth, or even ice cream to slightly thin baby food and then use a syringe to put it in your dog’s cheek a little at a time.
  • Nutri-Cal and Nutri-Stat, high-calorie palatable food supplements designed to provide nutritional support and stimulate appetite.
  • Rebound and DogSure. These are nutritionally complete liquid meal replacement products.
  • Try different brands and types of commercial foods, including dry food, canned food, dog food rolls, dehydrated foods, premixes such as those made by The Honest Kitchen, commercial raw diets, and even cat food. Try various treats, too.
  • Smelly foods such as liverwurst and braunschweiger sausage. Chicken or beef liver braised in butter is another food that appeals to many dogs. Feed foods such as these in small quantities, or add them to other foods to enhance their appeal.
  • Foods from your plate. Sometimes dogs are more willing to eat if they get the same thing that you’re eating. Chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers (no onions) and pizza are also worth a try.
  • Fresh foods. Experiment to see what your dog may like, such as eggs (try scrambling them with cheese, or hard-boiling), canned fish, canned chicken or ham, seasoned and grilled meats, beef stew with gravy, macaroni and cheese, homemade soup, crab cakes, cheese, cream cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, deli meats (can be rolled with other food inside), milk shakes and ice cream (avoid chocolate and coffee flavors). Even foods like bread and pizza crusts are better than nothing, if your dog is willing to eat them.
  • Flavor enhancers, such as gravy, soup, broth, stock, sauces, butter and drippings may help make other foods more enticing, either when added on top or when cooked together. (Note: We do not recommend the commercial flavor enhancers for squeezing onto dog food; most we have seen contain artificial colors, preservatives, and other unhealthy ingredients.) Be careful about feeding too much fat, though, as it can cause stomach upset in some dogs, and even lead to pancreatitis in dogs prone to this disease. You can also try sprinkling Parmesan cheese, feta cheese, or a little garlic powder on top.
  • Honey is a tasty and healthy addition that may entice your dog to eat (see “A Honey of a Cure,” September 2007).
  • Bone broth is nourishing and flavorful, and can be fed alone, or mixed with other foods to make them more appealing. Use any type of meaty bones, such as chicken backs with skin removed. Chop the bones into pieces, if possible. Put them in a stock pot and cover with water. Add a small amount of apple cider vinegar to help leach the minerals from the bones. You can also add vegetables such as celery, carrots and potatoes (no onions). Bring to a boil, then simmer anywhere from 12 to 36 hours (or use a pressure cooker to save time). Pour the liquid off and remove the fat after it cools (a little can be left for flavor). Using a blender, liquify the veggies and meat from the bones (and the bones as well, if they are soft enough), then mix with the liquid and store in the refrigerator, or freeze for later use.
  • The temperature of food can affect its appeal. Cold food straight from the refrigerator has little odor, and may cause an upset stomach. Warming food increases flavor and aroma, making it more enticing. Food can be warmed in a microwave or by immersing the container in a bowl of hot water.

Purpose

The Rebound Liquid Diet can help heal dogs and cats with various health problems. Virbac cites a September 2009 Fort Worth, Texas press release which states that this diet offers the best fortified and balanced nutrition for critical care, debilitated and recovering canine and feline patients. The Rebound Liquid Diet benefits pets suffering from post-trauma, post-surgery, chronic illnesses such as diabetes and suppressed immune systems, according to Virbac. In addition, this diet is believed to promote a healthy appetite.

  • Method One

    • 1
Fill a clean bowl with fresh water.
    • 2
Hold your dog in your lap or sit next to him beside the water bowl.
    • Pour a small amount of water from the bowl into your cupped palm.
    • 4
Touch the water in your hand to your dog's muzzle. If he refuses to drink, wet the area around his mouth. He will ingest small amounts of the water.
    • 5
Place the bowl close to the dog's nose if he shows interest in drinking more water.

    Method Two

    • 6
Fill a clean eyedropper or empty syringe with water.
    • 7
Hold your dog in your lap. Hold him securely, but pet and speak soothingly to him to keep him calm.
    • 8
Place the end of the eyedropper or syringe in the corner of your dog's mouth.
    • 9
Squeeze the dropper or depress the syringe to shoot water into your dog's mouth. Your dog will automatically swallow.
